Best Paper Award of the RR2012

Stefan Borgwardt and Dr. Rafael Peñaloza were runners-up of the best paper award of the 6th International Conference on Web Reasoning and Rule Systems (RR2012), Vienna, Austria, for their paper 'A Tableau Algorithm for Fuzzy Description Logics over Residuated De Morgan Lattices'.

Distinguished Young Alumnus/Alumna-Award

The former EMCL student, Mr Ronald de Haan received the 2000 EUR "Distinguished Young Alumnus/Alumna-Award" for his master's thesis on "Description Logic Based Reasoning on Programming Languages" at the Faculty of Informatics at the Technische Universität Wien, Austria.
