The idea of the Semantic Web is to provide a machine understandable version of the World Wide Web which enables computers to not only make information accessible to the human users but to also actively use it on their own. In this lecture we give a basic introduction to the logics and standards used to realize this vision, such as e.g., RDF and OWL, its applications and the ongoing research topics in that field. | |||
The course consists of lectures which introduce the general concepts and of exercise sessions which connect these concepts to practise. | |||

Course Description
