Tuition Fee Waiver

New: There will be no longer tuition fee for this program from Winter semester 2017/2018!

Prospective students may apply for a tuition fee waiver amounting to 500 EUR / 1500 EUR for the first semester of studies by an official letter containing the student's address and signature. This letter must be addressed to Fakultät Informatik, ICCL, Prof. Hölldobler and submitted until 25 August. The student must explain the financial situation and credibly claim that he/she cannot start the study if he/she must pay the tuition fee.
Students who study at UNIBZ during the second semester will be supported by a tuition fee waiver. Application is not requested.
Students of the second, third, forth and fifth semester must submit the application letter to the CL secretary as stated in section (1) considering the following deadlines: 20 February / 20 August. The student must explain the economic situation and credibly claim that he/she must abandon the program if he/she must pay the tuition fee.
In addition, a confirmation of the student's study performance issued by the SCIS must be presented to the CL secretary by 28 February / 30 August at the latest.
Students who earned less than
- 12 ECTS credits after the first semester,
- 34 ECTS credits after the second semester,
- 56 ECTS credits after the third semester,
- 78 ECTS credits after the forth semester
are considered as underperforming and are not eligible for a waiver.
Students must pay the semester social fee by 5 March / 5 September at the latest in any case.
Late applications cannot be accepted.
Waivers are granted for one semester, only.
Students are not eligible for a waiver beyond their fifth semester of studies.
