Wikipedia 3.0: MediaWiki meets the Semantic Web
Presentation at the 3rd International Wikimedia Conference (Wikimania 2007), Taipei, Taiwan, July 2007
  • KurzfassungAbstract
Semantic MediaWiki is an extension to the MediaWiki software that enables users to query the knowledge within the wiki, helps maintaining and checking the quality of the wiki-content, and offers novel ways to browse and display the information. After two years of development, Semantic MediaWiki today empowers numerous websites in many languages. Recent tests on a full copy of English Wikipedia give an impression of the novel possibilities and yield first performance estimates. In this presentation we will report on our results, show the current state of the project, and glimpse into some future plans.
