Welcome Philipp Hanisch

We are happy to announce that Philipp Hanisch joins the Knowledge-Based Systems group as scientific coordinator of the School of Composite Embedded AI (SECAI). He started working on September 1st. As the scientific coordinator of SECAI, he coordinates the professional and organizational development of the School in close coordination with its Board and the partners.

Philipp has graduated from TU Dresden in 2021. His diploma thesis on "Indexing for Datalog Materialization Using Leapfrog Triejoin" was supervised by Markus Krötzsch. After graduation, Philipp has worked as Young Graduate Trainee in the Destination Earth project by the European Space Agency (ESA). During this time, he collected valuable insights in system design and system documentation. "I'm looking forward to continuing and deepening the great experience I obtained while working with the group during my studies.", Philipp says. Only recently, his work Simulating Sets in Answer Set Programming has been published in collaboration with Sarah Gaggl and Markus Krötzsch at IJCAI.

Welcome, Philipp!
